So good to read you here again! This was thought-provoking, as usual.
I see it playing out like this -- the Dems will win by a fairly significant margin this time but tRump won't take the news well, will contest, and green light some of his extreme supporters (i.e., Proud Boys, etc.) to take to the streets. His side will clash violently with the extreme faction of the other side (and even mainstream moderates) and chaos will ensue. Both sides have fairly well organized militias so they could cause quite a bit of disruption and carnage before the National Guard and/or US Military steps in. In the midst of all this we'll still be dealing with the tail end of the 'second wave' of the virus so a state of emergency will be declared and we'll be under forced-quarantine until Spring. In the end more of our freedoms will be stripped away as a result (because they always are during these kinds of national crisis').
It's going to be interesting, for sure. I'm smack dab in the middle of one of the potential hot zones, we live just a mile from the State Capital. I think the recent plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan is a glimpse of what will happen on a National level. I wish we could get away into the country somewhere until spring.
Take care of you and yours my friend, I know you will.
