Wow, I had no idea that the gas chambers originated here in the U.S. but nothing surprises me anymore. One of my aunt's friends worked closely with Wernher Von Braun in Florida while he was helping America build NASA from the ground up. Londy (that was his name) was in his early eighties when I met him but he was still sharp and I had a chance to sit there and listen to him tell stories about his time with Von Braun for almost two hours. It was fascinating. He said the US rounded up all of the Nazi scientists they could when Germany was defeated and gave them asylum and a very good life if they agreed to come over here and work for us, and many did. He said the Germans had unbelievably advanced technology for the time, decades ahead of us. He was convinced that if a few huge blunders weren't made by Adolf we would all be speaking German now.
I'm enjoying my very first cup of Guzbucking tea.
