My friend is a rich man, I on the other hand am a businessman. Now the difference is that my friend and I may have the exact same amount of money in the account, but while he can BMF (blow money fast) because YOLO (you only live once), I can not. And no, it is not because I have extra lives.
my friend the rich man spends to get value, probably in form of pleasure, while I seek to get value in spending. I know it doesn't seem like there is a difference, just rearrangement of words, that rearrangement is what helps me describe what I mean
For me, value comes first, I have a pre-determined minimum ROI (return on investment) on every spending either in cash or kind, this is constraining, this is limiting
This is why I cannot refer to myself as a rich man, even if I share the same net-worth with some considered to be rich.
