The chests I've gotten have always been like this too. I usually had a potion but even with the extra rewards, it was mostly potions or small amounts of DEC.
It's unfortunate I didn't get more quest positions with credits before they took that ability away.
Maybe we need to sacrifice a small goblin to get better rewards? ;)
