For the people themselves, the civilians who have been born in Palestine or in Israel since the names of the states came into existence, it is irrelevant whether or not anyone government outside acknowledges the land on which they were and are born as sovereign, because in practice it does not change the fact that your passports bear the name of the state. And you live on a certain piece of land and in a certain location.

If I imagine that some foreign country would not acknowledge my country Germany as its own, I would not care because I have German as my language and because I was not born or raised in outer space, but my existence has always been tied to a national identity.

Israel is a great nation that will prevail, but Palastinians need to find a place in Egypt, Jordan or anywhere else in the huge 26 Muslem countries.

Telling me, for example, that after I have spent all my life in Germany that I could very well live in another Christian environment like Italy or France, Netherlands or Portugal, would require me to move to countries where they don't speak the same language and where I do not know my way around and would have to learn totally new contexts of life. Where I would not know how many of my relatives also would want to be. Where I would feel lost and insecure because of that.

This can only be done by free choice but if it's a result of coercion through war it's a totally different matter. Being forced to go is usually nothing which a person can accept just so.

Israelies and Palestinians could ask themselves who might have an interest in keeping their enmity alive. If the civilians of one side want the civilians of the other side to leave, then the powerful have every legitimisation to continue their wars. With you words you legitimize those in government who want to see their actions legitimized through the peoples voices. Be sure that you are heard.

However, hatred is an emotion that is best kept alive by presenting war as the only alternative and by showing the victims of war and planting scenes in people's hearts that exploit their compassion.

If someone witnesses in person a human being being killed, they loathe the murderer and not the nation. But if they think that they loath the nation, they are mistaken.

Now the question would arise as to how many countries outside Germany actually speak German so that I could accept going there. It's Austria, Switzerland and the border lands of Denmark. Maybe Luxembourg, but I don't know. All the other many European countries don't speak my language and I would have to learn it with great effort, which would be particularly difficult for old people.

So when you say that there are 26 Muslim countries, are they all countries where Palestinians could easily communicate linguistically? And where they would be accepted as immigrants by those living in these countries without question and without any problems? I assume that you will not be able to answer at least the last question, because the truth is that nobody can.

I therefore recognise in your statement a frivolous presumption about how to "simply resettle" an entire people.
