but to diminish everyone to say "our content is after all not so great as we see it" ... well... it depends on how you see it, right?
You can interpret it as "demeaning" or just recognise it as a fact. As I said, man likes and accepts what he already knows. I consider that to be a truth. What man doesn't know, what he doesn't immediately accept, what he finds strange, disturbing, outrageous, etc., he judges as "I don't like that". In the past we used to say "What the peasant doesn't know, he doesn't munch." There is some truth in that.
You can neither praise nor not praise your own. If I praise mine, I transmit pride and vanity. If I belittle mine and talk it down, I transmit a weak self-worth, it can also be false modesty. One can never say of oneself that one is "humble", the moment I do, I am immodest. HaHa!
So, as a consequence, you have others talking about you (your work, actions, omissions etc.)
There is only so much joy. It ends eventually and changes into another state of being. You can't have it on purpose but it happens by accepting what next feeling is going to catch you. If that makes sense.
If you put "!" after joy, it sounds more like a command, LOL :D (just to be a bit sassy here)
RE: If you can't do it with everyone, do it with SOME! 😋
