I would love to but then I am not nearly skilled enough to do tailoring in a fast and professional way. I am slow and an amateur and would have to practice and actually would need practical lessons. Where I live, you don't get the middle class people as customers. Either they have really little money and you are paid very poorly or you have found a niche in which you serve the riches. In between people purchase their clothes in the same way they consume every other good. So no money to make there for a living.

I admire all small scale business owners. The shop rent has to match and you need a steady offline customer flow. I know a guy who runs a small merchant's shop, where he specialises in spices, dishes and some types of fruit, as well as flour, rice, etc. The fact that he has been around for a very long time in a very busy part of town has enabled him to make a living. Competing against the chains is always a very big risk and especially in trade it is like that for individuals, because the purchase of goods requires pre-investments that you have to have first. Food is therefore probably the safest business of all, as most people do not buy it online.

May I ask where you are located?
