I understand your longing for gathering and feeling in union, for you have lost your homes and more.
Today, the president of Ukraine urged the people to get out on the streets. To make noise. To be heard. To be seen. To shake the world and urge everyone to take action.
Though from how I think of it, people in governments use the folks for their own purposes. If a president urges the peoples to make noise and go onto the streets to blame the enemy, he is doing it for his own agenda. Your frustration and anger is being directed, is what I am saying, while all governments are having a hand in this. The thing average peoples from Russia will hear is that you blame THEM. Of course, covered there from a media not better than all media. As long as we all identify with our so called leadership and nationalities, we do not see the picture.
I saw a photograph with a young couple, she and him holding out a Ukraneian and a Russian passport, while kissing each other. I find that is the best message.
All media screams either doom or solidarity but does anyone ask for diplomacy, for taking up talks to each other? For finding a diplomatic course? I don't see that.
Where are the leaders who want to engage in negotiations? If you can't be sure you can win, then in my view the thing to do would be to surrender where warfare has already resulted in deaths and destroyed areas. I mean, as a person in need, would I want to wait until another military means is brought into the country while the fighting continues? And would I want to wait until the Russians withdraw because of other sanctions? Probably not. I would expect my government to admit defeat and stop the war.
Who is doing the killing and who is being killed? The "leaders"?
But what do I know? ...
I wish you to not lose love and hope and trust in the peoples themselves, no matter where they are from.
