First of all: I grant you your choices, be sure of that. That's no lip service. I mean it.

Now, into having a further conversation.

Be sure that your voice will always be heard by those who like to pass laws and your freedom does not interest them in the least when it comes to "improving the world and the people".

You just gave them all the arguments they need to control and restrict us, the peoples.

You might have convinced me if you had stuck to yourself as an individual instead of putting the whole of humanity on the line.

So, how do you intend to prevent this entire human race from falling prey to the evil you prophesy, if you do not at the same time prescribe to them how they are to reproduce? In my view, you talk like someone who has a master plan, not like a person who wants to be free.
What do you do with people who don't comply? How do you answer the question of "if you don't comply, then ..."?

I consider the reverse conclusion that anyone who opposes the solution (genetic manipulation) is "an enemy of humanity and future generations" to be invalid. It's a trick I don't accept, for there is no way to ever tell, if I, as an individual person, am good or bad at my core.

I see questions like "whether I deny something" as rhetorical and therefore I don't answer them because there is nothing I can deny in this respect, because I am not omniscient.

In the competition regarding the race for "groundbreaking applications that save humanity and serve the good of all" (usual headlines), fear, vanity and the need for recognition play a major role, as your own common sense will confirm, since you have certainly encountered all these phenomena in your life.

Supposed solutions to these "serious problems of a global nature" often have one thing in common: they present themselves as having no alternative. So I object to them and don't see them as expansion of freedom but the opposite.

If health is a mere expression of matter (our bodies) than why does one suffer mentally? I don't accept that this phenomena is brushed aside for the convenience of having not to deal with it.
Though I don't claim to know what "health" actually is.

if you mean to actively oppose efforts at making CRISPR commercially available, you accept responsibility for the suffering of future generations with conditions it might’ve prevented prior to their birth.

So you make me responsible for death or suffering even without me having actively killed or severely ill willed someone? Where is the crime? I don't see any and I wonder why you seem to do? I present you my view, that's all. Don't make more of it, please. Otherwise I ask:

  • Have I presently violated someones willfully chosen action?
  • Have I dragged someone out of a doctors office by violence?
  • Have I followed executional orders and fined the disobedient?
  • Have I threatened a human being as to "if you accept genetic manipulation, you shall die, you don't deserve as being seen as a decent human being"?

Wow, that would give me great powers.

You argue one sidedly. You ignore that this "responsibility of mine", which you say would cause death and suffering but you do not even think of the possibility that those "future people" may agree with me, a "past human"? And also present people?

As if "all people" will have and do have the same notions?
Obviously, the don't.

There is much to fear from men who want the government to intrude into such primal and intimate human functions as reproduction, because they would take away essential freedoms. I do not propose to take away anyone’s freedoms, but to expand them. What about you?

I have nothing against it. I agree that I don't mind you doing your own business and I indeed welcome it. In the same way I don't accept judgement if I prefer having my own. You can of course judge me but I don't put it into my system as being true.

It's always good to have alternatives. Without them, life would be a scare.

I like having a challenge and a conversation between two people. So I appreciate your answers as well.
Thank you and a good day for you.
