Excellent story of the personal kind. I like these examples because they tell from real life and do not just argue hypothetically.

Normal people are discouraged by all means from doing their business because compulsory premiums are accruing in all kinds of insurance companies and chambers and before you have even earned anything with your business, they want to collect their premiums, gladly in advance. The common man is constantly admonished to abide by the rules which successfully prevent him from taking care of himself and which are not only pointless but damaging.

By and by, what is called the law has turned into a juggernaut that confuses us and makes us feel small. People everywhere feel like criminals because they are told that they are ignorant of the law. Which is indeed the case, but it is precisely this ignorance of the law that is the justification par excellence for disregarding the law. No one can be expected to know the trillions of paragraphs and their interpretation, because no one is capable of doing that.

Making it impossible for the average person to own property and do business is so absurd that it could drive one insane. People who do not notice this have never had their own business or tried to start their own venture. None of these problems exist in the lives of employees and therefore they remain blind, deaf and dumb to them.

My brother said to me the other day that I had been quite unconcerned and had not provided for my old age, how would I feel about that now? It sounded a little like I must be beginning to regret that. I don't remember my answer, but I rarely relied on alleged securities and sought exceptions from the bureaucracy where I could. That often worked out well, but it only ever applied to me and cannot be transferred to the general public.

Can you confirm that it was your intuition which let you leave behind your precarious situations?
