Thank you for bringing this up. I cannot agree more.

The killjoys seem to take a kind of masochistic pleasure in desperately wanting to drag others into their own misery. It seems to me that this hocus pocus has gone on long enough. But we will probably have to deal for a while with those who find their identity in getting worked up about alleged catastrophes and find their thrill in just not stopping to call for the end of the world. As if there were too little eventfulness in their own lives.

As long as one gets social credit by suddenly being the world's saviour and being a "good person" means telling others how to live, these saviours can pat themselves on the back, not realising that their longing for heroism is just a fantasy.
