Nice try, dear genie.

I'll stick with it and invite you to have a cup of tea with Betty, who I'm sure will have a story or two to share with us.

Like the one about the unfortunate man who wished he had a long ahem ... and who, if my memory serves me right, had his legs whisked away by you so that his ahem.... reached down to the ground!

See me bowing in front of your wittiness, which you obviously can't help.
Let's have a good laugh about it and don't deny the joking nature that is yours, dear genie.

I know you may feel uncomfortable in retrospect to see your jokes exposed like this, but honestly, what were you thinking when you gave the man marooned on a desert island, who in the face of his desperate situation wanted nothing more than never to be alone again, and whom you then placed in the midst of a family of twelve who were constantly bickering with each other?
Well, it was his own fault, wasn't it?

Remember the state leader who wished to be worshipped by everyone and who now can never leave the house without a bodyguard? His fans had almost mauled him at the first opportunity. The woman who wished for eternal beauty? Help me up with our tea to be enjoyed together, I forgot what was happening to her.

Let's be happy in the face of the fact that you tried to undo a lot of wishes and we know what came out of it, you lout! I don't hold it against you and offer you my heartfelt affection, dear genie. Just don't expect me to fall for your naughtiness, dear. But let me admire it instead.

Your Nordic fairy
