Hi to you,

thanks for the invitation. :) and... :

Good grief!
By evening ritual, I was thinking of something pleasant. Locking up is truly a task in itself. I don't envy you for it, but I am really amused by your brave cat who managed to chase away the thieves. They must have been non professionals from what you report.

I guess you'll have peace from the thieves now, no one will probably get in so quickly. I've never experienced anything like it. Not even in the city where I have lived for many years. In the country, at my brother's house, we sometimes leave the back door open if we forget to lock it.

In addition, you also have to look after the person with dementia, which is quite a demanding matter, I think. It makes for some excitement and stories in any case, that much is clear! The best stories are those, where it really got tough, otherwise we would not have any thing to tell.

I don't have a particular evening ritual, I'm more of a morning person.

Mornings, however, I find good because I need very little sleep and then I grind the coffee with an old-fashioned wooden coffee mill (not always, but often), turn on the kettle and then take a ceramic filter where I then run the hot water through. Before I do that, I roll myself a cigarette, and together with the coffee I go out onto the balcony and enjoy the dawn.

In summer, when you can see something, sometimes the birds visit me. Or I see the squirrel rustling through the trees. A large jay sometimes comes to drink water, as I have placed a bucket of rainwater that sits on top of the railing. He has beautiful plumage.

I don't go to the bathroom until very late and only on days when I put on something other than the usual do I have a long ritual of putting on make-up and doing my hair. You know my post about that :) - Then at some point I start dressmaking. Or with some other work. But before that I read and comment, like now. I usually take a lot of time for that.

The picture with the keys is a nice one. I also enjoyed the other ones to see.
