In another interview I've heard a man saying that he grew up under harsh circumstances and that his folks were afraid of the police and institutions and did not trust them. So they built up a warning system, if I understood him correctly or from memory. That seems to mean that in countries where the people already have a past which taught them how to navigate the rough waters, they are experienced.
I wonder what happened to us Germans. I don't see that here. I see compliance but maybe I see things wrong.
The most sincere contact I have outside my space is with foreigners and drunks at the corner, where I usually buy some daily stuff. Today the owner greeted me with shake hands, he spent the last 7 months in Afghanistan and told me the war starts again, he just got out and right after him they closed the airport.
