All this group-think will be the death of civilization as we know it.

I agree, group think is dangerous when the individual is incapable of integre thinking and acting.

For a while I studied Buddhism intensively. Much of it has helped me. But in one matter I remained sceptical because, just as with the other religions, I also perceived a dogmatism there that does not show itself quite so directly. For example, in the spring of last year I listened to numerous speeches by the monks, who could not emphasise the distance rules and hygiene regulations positively enough. People who live in a monastic environment, do not experience sexual touching anyway and are celibate, have no problems with avoiding contact. Since they accept birth and procreation as a perpetuation of human suffering anyway. Lustful touching is frowned upon, or even friendly touching and being in physical contact is rarely seen. It seemed to be a simple matter in these circles to bend to the rules of hygiene, no wonder. Giving birth, flowing bodily fluids, men hugging and being close, all a capped thing. I guess the Arabic-influenced peoples, where men are in close physical contact, kissing on the mouth, are unwelcome according to the Buddhist way of life.

The Western trend to familiarise themselves with Asian rules of life, a cheap copy of misunderstood Buddhist principles. Gladly also mixed with Indian influences, a colourful mixture of hedonistic western influence with eastern abstinence mentality.
