Hide
There is beauty in hiding and then eventually baring oneself. It's like keeping something for yourself and yourself only, and then suddenly exposing it to where everyone can see. It takes a heavy, self-imposed weight off your shoulders.
And then suddenly, you can breathe.
Drawing Hide
There wasn't any particular prompt in this one, except that I was once again attracted into one of the many creative photos in Pinterest. This time, it's by photographer, filmmaker, and artist, Haris Nukem.
The reference photo is of a woman with really beautiful eyes looking through the gap of what appears to be a plastic cover. For some reason, it comes across as a beautiful person hiding herself almost impossibly, but choosing to bare herself in the end.
I challenged myself once again with something like this (I can't help it!). The plastic cover wasn't an easy one (at least for me), and it shows. I really need to learn to paint stuff other than humans, so I'm hoping I learn from exercises like this.
I'm not a fan of "pillowy" look, but she ended up that way, anyway! I don't know why! It might be because of the brush? I might have to explore other apps for drawing in the long run.
I have tried Autodesk SketchBook and while it's really nice, it just doesn't work the way I was hoping it would. Do you have any suggestions for Android apps intended for digital arts?

Surprisingly, it's already Sunday. I can't believe the weekend passed me by just like that. And to think I wasn't doing much these days -- which somewhat automatically translates to time feeling a little longer than usual. But for some reason, the opposite happened. How are you doing these days?
