Noise Reduction in Audacity...How To

1. Highlight a segment where the consistent noise is present. Typically this is in between the sound waves.

2. Click on:Effects -> Noise Removal and Repair -> Noise Reduction
   

3. Click on "Get Noise Profile"

1. Highlight the entire track.

1. Click on: Effects -> Noise Removal and Repair -> Noise Reduction

1. Click on "OK"

I made this quick tutorial for @ekads and anyone else who could use this knowledge to improve the quality ofyour audio.

TIPS: You may have to repeat the process to really eliminate persistent background noise.
