The last time I was in an immersive world was way back in the day when I had a Second Life avatar. So when I found out #HiveFest was going to be an immersive experience, I knew there would be a learning curve, but I also knew it would be fun.
As many of you know I've only been actively using Hive for the last few months. So, understanding how to read a secret memo key was not intuitive at all. I found a an old post by @roelandp from 2020 which explained how to access the secret password. Oonce I understood how easy it was I felt like I missed what should have been obvious. Kicker was I haven't had an occasion to use the Memo Key before so I had no idea why I couldn't figure out how all the random letters and numbers worked. Adding the Memo Key to my Keychain was the key (Heh, Heh. Get it? Key?) to getting my
@hivefest badge. Which can be seen below in the selfies I took while exploring HiveFest and Outer Space!
I missed most of the days sessions due to previous commitments, but I did catch the last few afternoon sessions. I have a few sessions tomorrow which I have alarms set for most notably the session about PodPing, Podcasting 2.0, and the Value4Value model by @brianoflondon #GoPodcasting
If you happen to also be at #HiveFest feel free to connect. I'm @epodcaster. My avatar is a fan of teal. As a matter of fact, I'm liking the teal streak my avatar has in her hair so much, I'm thinking it might need to happen IRL.
