I'm always surprised at how tall the rooms are in older homes. It seems contrary to have tall rooms in an age of no electricity. I wonder if tall rooms made it easier to stay cool in the summer since heat rises. But then what about winter time when you would want the heat to be closer to the ground? Hmmm...I'm sure someone solved this long ago.
