My side of the story? I was going to hang out on Hive for bit before going to bed. For me, Hive on a Friday night is a good time to check in. See who was doing what and then to play a few hands of Splinterlands. Which lately has been my Friday night fun.
As I was doing the "see who is doing what" part of my evening plans I ran across this article from @jongolson
@jongolson/human-content-still-matters-on-hive-fte where he spoke highly about Snapie. So, naturally I clicked to see what all the fuss was about.
To say I was impressed with what I saw would be an understatement. A beautiful engaging interface. So, I started clicking around to get the full experience. And a full experience it was.
Then I saw an option called OpenPods with soundwaves. As a longtime podcaster this made my eyes light up. Could it be that there was a podcasting component to Snapie? I couldn't click fast enough.
There was one active room/pod/space and when I clicked into it, I was in yet another beautiful interface with chat and what looked like a main area for video or potential screensharing or for speaker and attendee avatars. I began chatting away to let whoever was hosting that I was new to Snapie and just kicking the tires of every feature. @ankalagonchik was a gracious host who then introduced me to
@meno who was the visionary and core developer of Snapie.
What started out as as a simple Friday night activity turned into an exciting conversation. To say that my mind has been lit up with the possibilities would be putting it mildly. Kudos to fantastic developers who create engaging and beautiful destinations for creators like me to unleash our ideas, thoughts, and creations out into the world.
