I've been actively feeling my skull because of all the anatomy changes going on. Two nights ago I was doing it again because I saw a post about the eye sockets getting deeper. I noticed recently people with bulging eyes and wondered if that was connected somehow. Anyway, it got me to rubbing my head again to see if there was anything different for me.

This is what I found. Hold your head straight up, then find the little bump at the back of your skull and lay a finger on top and one along the bottom. Now bend your head forward, like the "old" Thinker pose, and you should feel a ligament pop up almost like an Achilles tendon does on the back of your ankle.

I didn't expect anything different to happen because this wasn't there before for me. When it popped up, my hand literally flew from my head like it was an unnatural thing or something. It took me a minute to be comfortable feeling it there.

Now the odd part is that I immediately asked my husband to do it and, for some reason, he doesn't have one.

Fast forward to yesterday. I went to work and a co-worker was talking about "body artefacts" and they were doing the test to see who all had the ligament on the inner forearm or not. Last year when I saw this, I had the ligament. Yesterday, and to my absolute shocked surprise, it was gone. I remember vividly doing that test last year and that ligament was there. LOL

So I went to find out if I could learn about this new ligament that appeared at the back of my head. I discovered it was called the Ligamentum nuchae or nuchal ligament and is sometimes called the paddywhack (for real) on animals and they even make dog treats out of it from cows...

The above link is a fascinating read and, seriously, just look at that picture. Are we gonna grow a mane like a horse or something??? 🤗 How many of you were aware of this ligament already? I'm sure many of you have been actively feeling yourselves up looking for changes as I have if you've experienced an ME. Is this one for anyone else?

Also while researching, I discovered our Cerebellum is bigger again and the pons have dropped to a much lower location along the brain stem than when I first read about them two years ago. Also, the medula oblongata does not do anything this "teacher" said it did to Waterboy. Who's the dumbass now Colonel Sanders??? LOL
