I have 18 months left on a 2-year ETH mining contract I bought at Genesis Mining. It's 20 MH/s and currently set at 70% ETH/30% Zcash.

I have the option to apportion that among the following coins:

  1. ETH
  2. Zcash
  3. ETC
  4. Steem
  5. REP
  6. BTC

I'm only interested in the first three because this contract is more about filling up my JAXX wallet with future spending money! And I prefer my STEEM to come solely from earning it here. Call it a personal challenge. 馃槉

In reading about some of the unknowns coming up with the ice age thing on ETH mining and its potential move to PoS, I can't help but wonder if I might better off in the short term (2-3 months) putting more of the mining power to the other coins rather than ETH?

What allocation would you suggest between ETH, Zcash and ETC?

I'm leaning Zcash(70%)/ETC(30%) since there may be some short term gains to be had with ETC if there are negative bumps on the ETH changes coming. At the same time, with all the uncertainty out there, perhaps I'd be better of just getting it in STEEM?

Thoughts/comments/suggestions/insights much appreciated, thank you. I'm sure there are plenty of insights I don't have compared to some of you who pay closer attention to all of this than I do. :)
