I know there are a lot of confusion regarding which ABA routing number to put since Gemini gives both the intermediary bank and beneficiary bank information. I just wired SGD1000 at 5pm today and got the money in my Gemini account at 10.30pm so here is what i put in the fields. If this is your first time wiring, please read to the end, twice if you have to before attempting to wire transfer.
First, intermediary bank is just a middle man so only their swift code will be used. The rest of the information should be of the beneficiary bank, Silvergate Bank. Also, the clearing code or ABA routing number is NOT optional. You have to put in Silvergate Bank's ABA routing number. Please see below.
So Recipient Name and Address should be fairly simple, that's Gemini's name and address. Followed by the swift code that is given to you by Gemini when you request for a wire transfer on their website. This is Pacific Coast Bankers’ Bank's Swift Code. Next, Account Number is Gemini's account number, also provided to you, and the clearing code which should be Silvergate Bank's ABA routing number.
Lastly, payment details for recipient (also NOT optional) should be memo or reference given to you. Mine was six letters, all caps. Again, THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL. Everytime you do a wire transfer, Gemini will send you an email of instructions and this memo should be different each time.
