My grandmother was a true master with yarn and thread. She embroidered, knitted, crocheted, and sewed. She made beautiful tapestries, blankets, handkerchiefs, sweaters... You name it. I still keep most of the fibers she used for different purposes. I wish I had her skills. I have tried knitting and finished a couple of short projects. In this picture, along with my grandma's gems, is a partially undone sweater I started during a period of convalescence years ago.
