Oh, Chihuly! I instantly thought of the quest you hosted in #photogames. This sculpture is gorgeous.
I love the first shot: beautiful light and color. The thorn in the front leaf in the sixth photo looks like something I wouldn't like to mess with. From there, my eye moved into the background leaf, following the fine thread some spider must have left behind. The cabbage-like Queen Victoria is beautiful too. The shadows, the veins, the irregular edges.
Simplicity is in some of the most beautiful things, yes.
