the 35 km long coastal path from Stavern to Ødegård begins at the port to Cortin Beach. approaching from the seaward side the port marks the entrance to the old naval base, Fredriksvern Verft. we have had some foggy days in November with great opportunities for some photo shoots. though it was cold, windy and foggy it was Saturday and folks around here often walk through the old naval base and along the coastal path. during my walk i noticed people coming and going through the port so i decided to stand in wait to get a few shots of the unsuspecting ones, either from their front, back or side.
as the people approached me i showed them their photos and all were pleasantly surprised. i took these shots with my S22 phone in black and white mode. previously i have taken shots in color and edited to black and white but i really like taking the shots this way. i was able to manually preset better initial exposure and shutter speed settings adapting to the shifting fog and other conditions
