so i was walking on the beach, not the sand smoothed from wave action but the looser sand only soaked by the highest tides- where the sand is also being continually shaped by the wind. there were a few coconuts among the scattered debris that had floated down the nearby river and washed up on the beach in the high tide. in the late afternoon several of the shadows were interesting and i may post a few another time but one stood out as quite astonishing
