old, really old.
though at first the view may seem like i am inside looking out the windows, i am actually standing outside of a wooden church originally from the 1200's. Rollag stave church was modernized in the 1690s and these windows are either from that time or when an extension was added in the 1760s. the handmade glass is original.
in norway there are 28 of these beautiful wooden churches from the middle ages still remaining
but we are not here to find out about architecture or history or norway or anything like that.
no, of course we are here for the reflections. from this angle there is some light coming through a window on the opposite side of the church and the distorted muntons of that window are visible.
though these are not the same reflections from the time when the windows were first installed, you've got to appreciate that this glass has been reflecting for a very long time
this window was made long before the rule of thirds in photography was proclaimed but that rule has origins from a very long time ago
