i was out walking along the rocky shoreline when i happened upon a creature of peculiar interest
compellingly primal
animistic, otherworldly yes rather chthonian
once virile
both bawdy and grotesque
the cold low sun peered through the clouds
highlighting the otherwise forlorn debilitated beast
bereft of spirit and abandoned by both the earth and the cold rough sea
leaving me to ponder how little i know of life's forces
