This poem has a masterful touch. I really enjoyed reading.

And when it happens, as it surely will
that you not heed my words, and an evil
encroaches on your heart and makes life bleak;
remember to re-light the hearth with flame
and let the glory of your given name
sing resonance, rebuilding as you speak.

That verse really speaks to me as a reminder to return back to center when things get too out of whack. That's the blessing in our "not heeding", that we may return to peace if we choose. Thank you for your genuine content! :)
