Good evening @ph1102, I really appreciate this refreshing walk; Madrid is a little oven right now. You can never have too many photos when what they show is so spectacular. The architecture—I'm going to borrow your words—is astonishing.
Although what moved me most was the statue dedicated to Kafka. It immediately reminded me of "Letter to His Father."
Another thing that caught my attention was the two-level cemetery... humanity always finds a solution to its problems.
Without a doubt, you're doing the right thing by taking advice from other winter visitors. I look forward to the next walk.
