From the beginning, I think we already know what the course of the story may be, and yet it engages. The tension between Jemima's inner world and the rigidity of the outside world is chewed throughout the film, and here it is necessary to name Eliza Scanlen, who as you highlight is huge.

It seems to me a brave film because of the pace, so unusual in today's cinema, and because there is history not an emptiness hidden behind a frenetic pace and special effects. As to whether it is brave because of the subject matter, I don't think so, although I certainly sympathize with the teenager Jemina.

Hola @jcrodriguez, llevo años “peleado” con el cine, pero también doy por hecho que también se trata de un problema de edad. El cine con el que conocí el cine era otro. Sin duda, como dices esta película es una excepción dentro del cine actual.

Desde el inicio, creo que ya sabemos cuál puede ser el transcurso de la historia, y sin embargo engancha. La tensión entre el mundo interior de Jemima y la rigidez del mundo exterior se mastica durante toda la película, y aquí hay que nombrar a Eliza Scanlen, que como resaltas está enorme.

Me parece una película valiente por el ritmo, tan inusual en el cine actual, y porque hay historia no un vacío escondido tras un ritmo frenético y efectos especiales. Sobre si es valiente por el tema tratado, no lo creo, aunque sin duda simpatizo con la adolescente Jemina.
