Peace and grace be for all in Christ Jesus.
Going through difficult circumstances is part of everyday life. There are times when we face adversities that leave painful traces with many scars, however, in all the complex circumstances of life we are called to trust in God. The people of God only have one way of facing life: with confidence. After all, He loves us, has saved us from eternal death and promises to guide us in every moment of life. God wants us to live with confidence, but many times we let our faith be lost because we feel inadequate and unworthy.
The apostle Paul lived in the midst of horrendous circumstances: he was rejected by his Jewish compatriots, stoned, left for dead, ridiculed, ignored and repeatedly beaten and imprisoned for his devotion to Christ. But Paul never failed to maintain a sure hope until the end. How do i do it?
The apostle recalled a simple truth: "I can do all things in Christ that strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). Paul focused on his Lord, as did the prophet Jeremiah: "Great is your faithfulness. My portion is Jehovah, my soul said; therefore, I will wait on him (Lm 3: 23-24).
Now I can ask you, dear reader: Do you trust the Lord? Have you experienced the firm assurance that comes as a result of putting your faith in the infallible love of the Lord?
I loved him unconditionally yesterday, and he loves him with that same love today and tomorrow, forever. Therefore, place the burden of your heart on Him, and you will discover that you can also sing: "Great is the faithfulness of our God."
