From God's perspective, the basis for a successful marriage in the different areas of your journey in society must be created.

So, to understand marriage as God commands, we must look at it from its origin.
At the beginning of the relationship between Adam and Eve as husband and wife, God told them:

Therefore, man will leave his father and mother, and will join his wife, and they will be one flesh (Genesis 2:24; NIV 1960).

This command appears five times in the Bible. We know that what God says is important. When there is something that says it twice, we must turn it into an asterisk or underline it. And he says this five times! There is no doubt that you want to draw our attention to this. When God considers something to be so important as to say it five times, we can be sure that it is something vital. We better do it!

God's command for Adam and Eve contains three crucial words: let, unite and flesh. If we understand what these three words mean, we can understand how God wanted marriage to work. I am convinced that all marital problems come from the non-compliance of either party, from the instructions given in Genesis 2:24 to leave, unite and be one flesh. So, if we are able to achieve this, we are on the right path to a healthier, stronger and happier marriage.
