Lam. 3:37; Eccl. 12:1 When people make bad choices and stupid decisions that rob them their place in history, it is the Esau
Syndrome at work. I have not stopped wondering
how a forty-year-old man would trade away his
future just because of one attack of hunger. Isaac was a blessed man  that had a lot of sheep and cattle and Esau could have cooked his meal  in less than an hour. As a man of the field, he was not available to be
taught on morals and proper values of life. He
avoided parental control and training. He kept the
company of wildlife and wild people- those with
unrestrained behaviours. Talented people end up at the bottom in life when
they are unserious and careless about issues that
matter to their destinies. You cannot be a master in
the future if you fail to master the present. It is those that take control of their today that will have the
future do their bidding. The future will submit to
those who bring their appetites and their choices
under the control of their life's purpose. Watch out for the Esau Syndrome. Watch out for
that careless outing that could cost you your
marriage of twenty years. Watch out for inappropriate telephone calls  that could cost you your job. Watch out for that besetting sin that  could cost you heaven. By God's grace, you will not fall a victim of Esau
Syndrome. Prayer:
I receive grace to be watchful and discerning. I submit myself to the yoke of discipline in Jesus Name.
