I’m quite disappointed by the direction things are going but I've ignored it for a while and kept trying to move forward.

I don’t see a reason anymore to:

• Accept upvotes
• Create content with SEO in mind for search ranking
• Maintain an index a couple times a month
• Use a Steem platform with 15% benefactor cut to have basic functions Steemit is missing for content creators
• Promote that content outside of Steem
• Engage with other content creators about taking a look at the platform.

I already don’t turn a profit on my content so it’s not a big deal. I was never really here to make a ton of money. I just wanted a chance to break even on the cost of buy games and share my passion.

Content creators tend to have the smallest voice in stake but the loudest in traffic generator.
