This beautiful view taken at Mount Rainier National Park.
These cool, wet days of spring seem a long time away from the long, warm summer days in the Cascades. Wildflower displays like these at Mt. Rainier are all too brief, with the wildflowers lasting only a couple of weeks. But maybe that's part of what makes them so special? Prime wildflower season at Mt. Rainier is the first week of August, plus or minus a week depending on the year.
