I believe we left off on the flamingos, which is a beauty to watch in their ballet to and from the water. From there, we came across yet another petting zoo, this one with a few more familiar animals that they were easily comfortable in approaching. Of course, fear has never been an issue in their minds, but caution is always there. LOL! Especially from a concerned Daddy. 😜

Then we got to the birdies where a set of Toucans appeared to be giving the Black-Throated Magpie Jay instructions on how to pull a stick through the chicken wire. Ending the tour, we came to the Meerkats and those were interesting to watch. You could see different roles in their ecosystem and watched them relieve each other of their duties as sentry and foragers. Was pretty neat and the girls adored them!

We had some Halloween fun on her 8th birthday this year as the cousins came up for the weekend. You know, the ones that aren't taken care of, so this was a real treat for them. We played a mummy wrap game, pin the nose on the pumpkin and then my Pops had this crazy idea for a fishing game that was kinda cool. Kids frig'n loved it as he was all pulling on the line and "Reel it in! Don't let it get away!" Then he'd put some candy on there and in Luna's case, a ten dollar bill. Then we went Trick or Treating and had a good ol' sugar-filled blue moon evening. Enjoy the pictures!

That wraps up October! I hope everyone had a good month and are looking forward to the holidays that quickly approach. Over here, we have Thanksgiving, then Khaldeesi's birthday, then Garrett's birthday and then Christmas! SOunds like fun, right? Wish me luck, LOL!
