Several days ago, I came across a news on my Steam feed. Yes, you read that right, the video gaming platform owned by Valve Corporation. It's kinda nice my autocorrect no longer confuses what I mean.
Terraria: Journey's End will release on May 16th!
For those of you who don't know about Terraria, it is a 2D, open world survival, sandbox game similar to Minecraft. It has overwhelming positive reviews and is one of the games I have gotten all the achievements. Journey's End is set to be the last update the creators will push out before moving on to other projects.
When the news broke out, I could not even connect to their Discord server as it crashed due to massive activity. Believe it or not, it is not an uncommon occurrence. Large servers tend to run into that issue every now and then. The announcement also received overwhelming positive reactions on Twitter, etc.
The original announcement of this update came in June 2019. The Re-Logic team laid out the plans and features contained therein. As far as their track record goes, they have been on point with features they have promised.
For more details about the update, please visit the news release from last year. Or, you can join their Discord.
I suppose this is a silver lining during the quarantines and lockdowns.
Here is the trailer for Journey's End:
I am excited for this update. This is something I could play with the family and friends. If you like adventures, or being creative, this game has slices of life that cater to you.
