For today's diy, I decided to submit my entry for the ongoing contest world environment day. I believe that recycling of objects is one of the perfect ways to protect and save the environment, so in my own little way of contributing to the environment I decided to make a cute jewelry box using recycled and mixed materials. I do much love this box and it's giving me all the vibes needed. 🌹

Without further ado, these were the materials I made use of:

*Plastic bottle
*Cardboards (white,blue and pink)
*Glue (top bond)
*Pearl beads
*Super glue
*Carton
*Scissor
*Razor blade

Procedures

Firstly, I carried the plastic bottle and used the blad to get a line and then used scissor to cut off the bottom and also the top as well. And then I properly trimmed it to my desired length.

Secondly, I traced a circle shape on the carton which after i cut out the shape using a scissor After I was done, I again cute out same size of the circle I cut earlier from the carton but this time using the blue cardboard paper which after I applied glue and placed it as the base of my box.

Thirdly, I cut different colors of strips from the three cardboard paper and began to place it one after the other on the bottle till its well covered. In other to get a perfect work I cut out another blue strip and placed on the surface to cover up unnecessary lines.

Fourtly, I made a little bow with different colors and placed on the surface of the work and there after I placed pearl beads on the middle to give it more beautification.

Fifth, it was time to make the cover for the box, so I cut out a sizable circle shape from the carton and also two cardboard for the back and front. When I was done I used the super glue to hold the cardboard and cartoon together. I later cut out a pink little stripe to cover the space in between the carton.

After that, I still cut out some strips and placed it on the surface of the cover using different colors and cut out the excess lines.

Sixth, for the handle I glued all the little stripes of different colors I cut and placed it on the cover to serve as our handle and later placed two pearl beads on it.
