It's true that we all desire peace and I believe it's the hope of everyone that someday somehow the world at large would enjoy its maximum peace. I mean only the wicked hates good stuff but with the recent happenings, the wicked ones are sorting for peace 🤣 funny right? But it's the plain truth.
I remembered just few weeks back, the HiveLearners community came up with a prompt about ascertaining a political position to help the country out and indeed all the responds were interesting even though I didn't get to read all. 🤣 My own respond during the politics for all was a total no for me when it comes to playing the game and that's because I am absolutely not ready to trade or should I use the word gamble my life for what am not so sure of.😕
Just like playing bet, sacrificing my life is absolutely desame thing because there is no hundred percent assurance that the people am dying for would appreciate my effort neither think of remembering my huge sacrifice. Sorry to say that even the current situation of my country (Nigeria) is a clear indication that my sacrifice would be trashed in the bin like no mans business. Take a look at the labour of our past heroes and the sacrificing role they played to ensure the country stand I mean a good number of them lost their lives all for peace but today the table is turned around. Not diving much into Nigeria and it's government, I rather not risk my precious life for an ungrateful people.
This prompt also brought a good memory of a movie I watched some years back, where a particular kingdom was languishing in deep sorrow, pains and to worsen the situation there was nothing like rain fall meaning no water to drink neither food for them to eat. After so much consultations and incantations, trying to get to the root of the problem the only solution left for them else they all perish was for one person to willingly sacrifice his or her life. Despite the suffering no one was willing to and when the situation grew from bad to worse a kind hearted lady accepted to but with a condition they never forget her kind gesture and no atrocity should be committed in the land. that too from generations to generations her legacy should be remember of how she laid down her life when no one was willing to. Could you believe that after everything the people forgot the promises made to her and went on with their mischievous way of living. I know it was just an ordinary movie but with all honesty what was displayed was just the raw fact of what's going to happen if I venture into that.
So ladies and gentlemen of great caliber, if by any chance I was asked to sacrifice my life for the world to gain peace, am sorry to say that they will definitely get a big NO from me without thinking through it twice.
