Hi everyone!
Today, I want to show you a few pictures of a great place, that we have in the Valencian Community (Spain): El Garbi.
The truth is that whenever I go, I have enjoyed the views and it has made me forget about the worries I had. It has views that for me are impressive and that are not seen anywhere. And less if you're used to the city, like me.
El Garbí is a natural viewpoint located in the south of the Sierra Calderona. It's about 600 meters from the sea level and as you can guess, the views offered are great.
To go up to the viewpoint, there are signs along the way to guide you.
Following these indications, there isn't loss. Since there is a lot of vegetation around, it can be difficult to find. But it's a small place, so you can quickly get an idea of where each zone is.
There are two areas to see the Valencian landscape. This pic so you the one that is safest because it has a wooden fence.
And on the other hand, if you climb a path of large rocks, we find this:
Personally, I liked the views from this last photo, because it's all natural. It does not dangerous, since the rocks are large and that allows you to walk well. When it comes to going with children, you have to be careful because isn't advisable to run in these areas.
Apart from these views, we find what is called "Hermita de la Santa Cruz". It's a fragment of what was that hermitage built in 1787.
We also find a rest area, where there are tables and stone seats to rest and drink. So I think that to spend a good day with family or friends, it comes pretty well if you live near Valencia.
I suggest wearing comfortable clothes and sneakers, since after all you are walking in the mountains. A backpack is enough with food and drink to spend the day. It's an ideal place to do some hiking, which does not involve much effort and you can rest at any time.
I hope you have been able to enjoy this place as I did, or at least that you encourage to visit it!
I leave you some links, where I have obtained some of these photos and where you can see more information about this place. For example, directions on how to get there:
