I visited and got a tour of my future college today. Next August I will officially be a student of Woodbury University!
This is the library and probably the most famous building on campus
I am majoring in film and Woodbury's program seems great. The staff was saying that they will try to prepare the students for a more real world work and career stuff than just academics which I find perfect since many classes at highschool and other places can't seem to give work that has real world application.
The school is very small and classes had as little as 7 and as many as 18 people in them. This will probably allow for stronger relationships with peers and teachers and hopefully I will learn a lot! There aren't really any sports there, but there are parks and hiking areas nearby along with a basketball court, volleyball net, and a small pool on campus.
I was told the campus used to be an all girls church or something that was later made unto what it is today.
Everyone I met seemed really nice and there was some really cool geeky stuff there that I liked. The dorms had comicbook themed halls like one filled with cutouts and pictures of green lanterns with the room numbers and another hall was Wonder Woman themed. There was also an arcade machine in the common area with tons of old games!
I think I'll really like it there and I'm excited for what the future holds.
I'd love to see everything you guys would like to tell me about college life in the comments!
