For my Norwegian followers the podcasts is "Jeg kan ingenting om vin" by Thomas Gjertsen and DNs wine journalist Merete Bø. I also listen to "Vinmonopolets podcast". I really recommend to listen to the episode "vinmonopolets historie" it's really interesting, and they are talking about why wines on Norwegian winemonopoly (Liquor Store) are so cheap, and why we are lucky to have a winemonopoly that picks out the best wines. A friend of mine drove wines from Italy for a period, and a wine producer had actually waited 10 years to get his wines on our liquor store. It was actually a great honor for him, because then he knew his wines was in top quality!
is for my fathers birthday in December. He love a good red wine, and an amarone is never wrong. I haven't tried this one myself, but I have got it recommended from a podcast about wine, and I also got some help at the liquor store too.
is one of my favorite white wines. And I really love it. It's cheap enough to drink on parties too, to just to get drunk. This is a wine everyone must try if you like a fruity balance, a round tast, and a nicely balance between the citrus and alcohol. It also got a taste of honey and of course minerals. I guess this is good with some spicy food too, but I love to drink it without food too. The sugar level is 16,5 g, and it's kind of high of being my kind of taste.
did I hear on a podcast that this wine tastes so good for only being a cava. I'm going to drink it on New Years Eve. It got 4 out of 5 stars on the Vivino app and it tastes like it looks: strawberries, rasberry and red fruits. Some brands are pink to get women to buy it, and it's often very sweet. Don't buy wine if it looks good, it almost never end well! BUT, this one have only 4,8 g sugar per liter and I really looking forward to drink this!
is a really great riesling. I tasted it first on a burger restaurant, and I really loved it. And I had to buy the Pinot Noir (a really top quality grape) too just to try it out too. I think this may be one of my top favorite white wines. Highly recommended.
Some of you know that this is my ultimate favorite and is number 1 recommended. I really love the producer Kruger-Rumpf and I have tried a lot from that producer. The wine have got 4,2 on VIVINO with 1037 ratings. It's a wine that's warm and round with a fruity taste, almost tropical. It's one of the most balanced white wines I have ever tried. The wine from 2019 was definitely much better than 2020. I have never got a hang up in the year, but this wine was a fun way of taste the difference.
is also an amazing wine. It's rated 4,1 (out of 5) on Vivino. Pear, apple, peach, lemon, and some taste of honey/cream and minerals in a great balance! It's a tropical taste and a wine you should try out!
even tho I didn't like it so much. But it was really fun to tast a wine that's actually was salty! I love some salt, but it was kind of weird in a wine. But I want to try this again later, maybe with some food that fits because it was really interesting!
But that app can be wrong too. Because if the first ones rates a wine to 4-5 stars, usually everyone will follow that lead, and that may results in a wrong judgement of the wine. But the app have helped me to get engaged in wines, and it have learned me a lot. And if you are rating more wines, the app will help you to find your top wines too (it showes a % of how big of a match the wines is for you).
I got the glasses Zwiesel Vervino. Riesling glass, champagne glass and water glasses. It doesn't cost much either, and I really mean the water tastes better in the water glasses too!
