Looking at how far we have gotten, every impossible idea that used to be just a line in a movie script is slowly becoming reality, apart from the zombies Apocalypse. Humans are creatures that evolve based on the available knowledge at hand and technology being the ever evolving sector in the society has never cease to amaze me.
If we were to look back about 20 years ago, when the closest thing to artificial intelligence were search engines, scientific calculator. We were doing just fine in those days but humans evolution is never something that enjoys standing still, it keeps moving and so we moved till we find ourselves where we are currently.
I don't think we can ever get to a point where we humans will be satisfied with what we have. like I said earlier, the higher we go - the more challenges we encounter. The need to keep coming up with solutions will result to more innovations. If there was any point in time that the world was in a perfect shape, we would never need to invent anything. We will all gladly live in the perfect world but the world is not perfect, not even close.
Wishing to sit back and relax in a world like this, is like chosing to watch our own extermination occur. Every day, people discover new disease and from there, the need to create more medicine arises. In a perfect world, there shouldn't be sickness, hunger, natural disaster e.t.c The existence of these things, motivate we humans to create because this is the only way we can survive.
It is not just about greed. As a person, if I have a means to eradicate an issue from the society, I will gladly do it. Yes I might make a name for myself or even make profit from it but that doesn't change the fact that I'm trying to eradicate a problem.
