Money is a very powerful force. There are has been a lot of things that has been said about it over the years, even in the holy book there was a commentary about it. Money is a force and it has the ability to do either good or bad depending on the ground we give to it.
Most of us see money as mere paper or digit in the bank but I assure you money is far more than that, money is a god and it rules over those who refuse to discipline themselves over it. In our day, it is one of the most chased things, people value it more than their own lives.
Both the young and the old are willing to do anything and go any length just to have money. some in the good way others in the wrong way. Let me not lie myself I am chasing money, I don't know about you. LoL
But like I said earlier, money is not evil as people see it as, it is the people that use it that are evil. The presence of money only brings out what is imbedded on our inside, don't forget it is a force, so whatever it finds on your inside, it grants it audience.
You can have billions of dollars and still be a good person, it all depends on how disciplined you are and of course don't forget you can't be disciplined enough without God helping you. It is not evil to have money.
Anyone who is not after it is planning to suffer. Money looks like everything in our world today, it drives almost everything, there's nothing you can acquire without it. It is therefore very advisable to look for a means to have yours yet you must not let it be a god over you.
How I Lost A Friend
Right from day one, I know that money changes people. You can live with someone for many years struggle together but as soon as the person touches money, the person will suddenly change except if he/she is really touched by God.
Well I won't blame anyone, because the coming of money brings increase in class and one who is promoted doesn't need to be in that same level again.
I have this very good friend I met in college, he was a little younger than I am but I love that guy so much. He is just too smart and knows how to motivate like he has a master degree on the course. We became very close and got to know each other's families subsequently.
We were pushing life together and everything was moving perfectly well. There was a day he visited my house and was like, bro I want to make money by all means. Do you have any idea on how we could achieve that? I laughed at him and said study your bible, read books and start doing something. Well I said that out of joke and we both laughed.
He was learning how to sew clothes then, later he stopped and he travelled out. After a long time I also travelled out and eventually we got occupied by activities and we a kind of don't communicate like usual.
When I returned back home, I saw him on motorcycle, looking chobby and different. Well he just waved at me and said I am coming back. I was surprise because the person I used to know looks slim and thin like me. What happened?
I started seeing changes on the kind of clothes he wears on his status on Whatsapp, I see most of his pictures with some rich young dudes in cars, hotels and bars. I asked some of our friends about him and they said he is one of the rich boys in town now. Wow!! Ask me what he is doing or what he did to be rich like that I can't tell.
I was happy for him nonetheless, I picked my phone and called him one of those days and he picked and said he was busy, he would call me back while on the background I was hearing a lady's voice lol. But I didn't mind after some time I saw him on his new motorcycle we call it rubber, rubber down here. It's the trending motorcycle. He parked close to my house waiting for someone but he didn't care to check up on me. Coincidentally I came out to the junction and I saw him, I was smiling and trying to relate with him but his friends already came so he said I'll call you. That call never came.
Whenever I dropped him message on social media he doesn't reply, one time he called me and I met him in a hotel, he was there with his friends but when I got there I was so uncomfortable, I looked like a total stranger before him and the other boys. I didn't stay long I have to leave. Communication still stopped subsequently and recently he doesn't even pick my calls or replies me anymore.
Well, it hurts me so much but destiny has it's role to play, it's not everyone that will be part of our lives for life. Afterwards I don't even expect him to roll with me when he is having money, he probably need people with money like himself so that he can have more ideas on how to keep the money coming inn.
