Moving into a new apartment because largely fueled by its proximity to my workplace. I liked my previous apartment a lot, but just became tired of the hassle associated with making a long distance trip every morning and trying to resume on time. This works and so far I have zero regrets.
I had some concerns though prior to my moving in. The new apartment offers considerably less space than my old place. It is still nice and comfortable, but as someone who loves space it felt like a sacrifice on my part.
Fast forward to a few weeks after moving in and I have adjusted nicely. What's more, I am convinced that while I will be okay with a little extra space, the current arrangement suits just fine. It makes things like cleaning easier and helps me manage in terms of the stuff I purchase. Am not a minimalist but am always wary about stocking up on useless items.
Sure when I have a family then a lot more space will be required. For now though am quite comfortable within the limits imposed by current capacity. I always wonder why people purchase overly expensive and spacious mansions that they barely live in and maintenance costs are through the roof. One only needs so much space.
