I've often talked about how the mainstream social media platforms have been completely overtaken by the AI craze and of course an algorithm that is designed to keep us hooked to our screens and scrolling with oftentimes useless information and mindless entertainment.

Of course the best way to fight this will be to starve off the algorithm completely and if possible avoid these platforms like the plague. Yet for most people, that process will often come with rewiring our brains to not crave those easy dopamine hits and takes more effort than some of us can muster in the moment.

So I am aware that instead this can be a long term battle involving a whole lot of patience and struggle. For those who cannot muster drastic steps to make the necessary changes, then minor steps towards overcoming the algorithm will should do. Things like reducing social media time in general, replacing it with alternatives like the Hive platform for instance, or even creating settings within these platforms that do not promote continuous feeding of the algorithm. For instance one could simply choose to not be provided feed by the recommended portions of X.com, and instead opt for content created by those you follow.

Either ways a real battle awaits those who seek to overcome this trap. It takes real acknowledgement of the enormity of the problem to actually begin to overcome it. The algorithm is not your friend.
