I've been practicing OMAD (one meal a day) for about a month now. The first few days it was really tough on my body and left me wondering why am subjecting myself to it. I don't necessarily have a weight problem, even though I did want to drop a few pounds. But I think most importantly was the habit of turning towards a snack whenever I felt the need to do so. I wanted to change that craving so I tried OMAD.

The initial stage of application started with mild dizziness and unrest. I had concentration issues from losing so much strength. At first I considered stopping, but decided to continue. Fast forward a few weeks later and things have more or less stabilized. I've been able to work out a routine that enables me focus while trying to maximize nutrition optimally from one meal.

I will be ending the practice soon. For me it wasn't about being a long term thing, as I quite enjoy food. It was more about bringing my body back into subjection, which I think I have achieved. What has astounded me though has been the body's ability to adapt so quickly to such a circumstance. Indeed we are a lot more capable than we think, and a lot of us simply need to start and break the initial resistance in order for us to have a significant breakthrough.
