Friends today we will talk about tree planting.
We are cutting down trees and our children will pay thi fees.In fact, we do not know what we are doing. We have challenged the Nature. The Nature has become furious. If we do not stop cutting down this planet will become lifelees. So we have to give emphasis on tree plantation.
Tree plantation means planting tree in large number. Trees are very important to us in many ways. We cannot think of our existence without trees. Trees give us fruits and shades. They supply timber for various uses. Trees prevent soil erosion. Many kinds of medicines are prepared form leaves, roots and barks of trees. A bove all, they help us to keep ecological balance supplying oxygen.
According to the ecologists, for livable environment there should be forest on the 25% land of the total area. But in Bangladesh we have only 16% forest of the total land. Due to deforestation carbon dioxide is increasing worldwide. As a result the world is becoming warmer.
The sea level is rising and many parts of the world are going to be engulfed. On the other hand new areas of the world are turning into deserts. The removal of trees causes birds and other animals living on them to leave the place. If we destroy trees at random one day bangladesh will turn into a great desert.
Generally trees are planted in july and August. They can be planted in road sides and in all educational institution. But our trees and forests are not sufficient in proportion to our total land area. To preserve our environment we should plant more and more trees. Government should encourage the people for plantation by various media.
